About the work
My contribution to the Vending Machine Project will take the form of a CD
in handmade packaging. I intend to use the sounds from the production of
the packaging to make the music that will be held within. The packagin will
consist of a sleeve which will house a painting and the cd itself.
The sounds
created during the production of the sleeve and painting will be recorded and
manipulated to make music. The use of the same processes in
the production of the sounds and the visual element will add a cohesiveness
to the finished cd that is not usual for a music release.
