About the work
This piece incorporates audio taken from found footage on the web of combat
in Iraq, and my own video footage of a wind-up toy helicopter harassing three
plastic toys. The context of the work is one of play and violence, of the real
and the unreal, of the adult and the juvenile. These themes are central to
my whole practice and I tend to rely on the cultural traditions I grew up with,
TV, video games, action movies etc to describe these themes.
The DVD runs at about 5.5 mins long, and will be packaged with a still image
and title on the cover. The content of the DVD is suitable for viewing by all
ages. Edition size is limited only by space available in the vending machine.
